Going into your application cycle, you probably heard about students with great (or at least good enough) stats and extracurriculars yet didn’t get in, but you probably didn’t think it would happen to you.

We’re sorry to hear that you haven’t yet gotten into medical school. Going through the application process once is difficult enough. Going through the process twice or three times is much worse. You might be feeling anxious, disappointed, or even embarrassed. That said, we’re glad that you’re not giving up on your dream of becoming a physician.

When you don’t get into med school during a given cycle, it’s typical to try and pinpoint the reason why things didn’t work out. Were your stats not good enough?
