The more your volunteering puts you in direct contact with the people you’re serving–whether that's patients, underserved community members, or vulnerable populations–the more meaningful it tends to be. This applies to both clinical and non-clinical settings.

Roles where your contribution grew over time

This type of experience serves two specific purposes. First, it demonstrates that you understand what medicine actually looks like from the inside.
